Axioma Sets Schedule for 2008 Breakfast Research Seminars,
Focusing on Constraint Attribution
NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2007-Axioma Inc., a leading global provider of decision support, risk analysis and portfolio rebalancing tools for the financial services industry, today announced the schedule for its 2008 Breakfast Research Seminars. Focusing on constraint attribution, experts from Axioma will provide insights aimed a helping portfolio managers gain a better understanding the impact of constraints imposed during portfolio construction.
"Understanding the impact of constraints imposed during portfolio construction-and being able to quantify that impact to the asset owners-is critical for portfolio managers," said Sebastián Ceria, chief executive officer of Axioma. "In this seminar, we will demonstrate how to measure the effects that individual constraints have on a portfolio, compared with a portfolio dictated exclusively by a trade-off of forecast risks and returns."
Added Ceria, "Whether one refers to such deviations as unrealized alpha, opportunity costs, or implementation inefficiencies, attribution of individual constraints gives portfolio managers deeper insights into-and greater control over-their portfolio construction process."
The seminars will coincide with the release of Axioma's latest white paper, which also covers the topic of constraint attribution.
Those wishing to attend may register at www.axiomainc.com/seminars. Availability will be based on a first come, first served basis. The seminars will be held from 8:00 - 10:00 AM local time on the following dates:
