Axioma Names Olivier d'Assier to Lead Expansion in Asia Pacific

NEW YORK, March 24, 2006-Axioma Inc., a leading global provider of risk analysis and portfolio rebalancing tools for the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Olivier d'Assier as President of Axioma Asia, headquartered in Singapore.

"He brings a wealth of business development capability to our company, along with years of experience in the Asia Pacific markets that Axioma is targeting. d'Assier was previously President of Barra Japan and Executive Director of MSCI Barra for Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the strategic and commercial business development in that region, overseeing the operation of the firm's Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney offices.

d'Assier joined Barra in 1998 as Sales Manager for Asia. In September 2000, he became Managing Director, Asia ex-Japan for Barra International based in Hong Kong. In February 2003 he moved to Tokyo as President of Barra Japan and Vice President of Barra Inc. for Asia Pacific, adding responsibility for the Japan, Australia and New Zealand markets.

d'Assier received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from the Cullen Business School at the University of Houston, Texas where he was a scholarship recipient.
